Next-Generation Technologies

Across the entire Buick lineup, there has been a commitment to providing advanced technology. As such, you’ll see new and updated features within all of the models.

The Envision and Enclave have larger touchscreens than ever before. Additionally, many of the infotainment systems will have enhanced voice recognition as well as over-the-air update capabilities.

Super Cruise is now featured within the Enclave (and you can expect to see more models embrace it in the future). This provides a truly hands-free advanced driver assistance system. You can look forward to getting help with parking, reversing, and driving on long-distance trips.

Also, within the Envision, available in some of the higher trim levels, is a 12-inch digital instrument cluster that features a customizable display.

A few other features that have received upgrades include:
  • Front pedestrian & bicyclist braking
  • Advanced adaptive cruise control
  • Noise-canceling technology
  • Wireless smartphone charging

  • Especially if you have seen some of the tech in older models, exploring the changes can be a great way to see just how Buick has advanced.

    Updates to the Envista

The Envista has been completely reenvisioned, providing a compact crossover that’s more sophisticated and with more user-friendly features. If you’re familiar with the Envista but an older model, it’s definitely time to see how the 2025 model compares.

    2025 Buick Envista

You’ll find a Flex-Fuel-ready 1.2-liter engine that impacts the performance and improves fuel efficiency. You’ll also find that remote start is standard on all trims, as is the rear parking assist.

Quite a few new accents are found throughout the interior. Perhaps the most noticeable thing, however, is the presence of an Aquamarine Blue Metallic as an exterior option. The Sunrise Red Metallic and Copper Ice Metallic options are no longer available.

The SUV still seats five comfortably – and you can choose between three trims: Preferred, Sport Touring, and Avenir.

    Updates to the Encore GX

The Encore GX didn’t get the full makeover that the Envista did, but there are still enough updates that they are worth mentioning. Its refresh includes E85 compatibility for the turbo engine on the Preferred trim. This addition makes it a hybrid, which provides impressive fuel efficiency for your daily commutes as well as road trips.

Remote start is now standard across the trim levels. There’s also an ultrawide 11-inch diagonal infotainment screen, making it easier to engage with music, podcasts, and more.

As with the Envista, you’ll also see the presence of Aquamarine Blue Metallic as an exterior color choice. The 2024 colors of Sunrise Red Metallic and White Frost Tricoat have been discontinued.

    Introducing the Electra

The Electra is an up and coming fully electric SUV. Known officially as the Electra E5, it is headed to the North American market, but there is no set release date. It will be available with dual electric motors, providing 340 hp and a driving range of up to 385 miles before needing a charge. In terms of interior aesthetic, it is similar to that of the Envision. However, it will be more spacious and feature a curved 30-inch infotainment screen.

There will be several trim levels to choose from, with the Essence providing more luxury and more advanced technology. If you’re interested in an EV SUV, be sure that you keep an eye on our dealership so that you can experience the Electra E5 as soon as it drops.

    Explore the Options for Yourself

While it’s easy to talk about the changes to the Encore GX and Envista while also telling you all about the all-new electric Electra, it’s best to see it all for yourself. This way, you can see how everything looks, explore how the tech works, and take a test drive to experience the performance. We invite you to sit behind the wheel, climb around the cargo space, fold down the seats, and get a real feel for what the SUVs have to offer.

While Buick is known for offering luxury sedans and SUVs, the changes for 2025 are definitely focused on the SUVs. With so many trims and features to choose from, we promise that there’s one for you. Visit us at Leachman Buick-GMC today, and we’ll show you how owning a new SUV may be easier than you think. A new 2025 model may be just what you’ve been waiting for.

    FAQs

    How do dealership trade-ins work?

It’s simple to trade in your vehicle. After thoroughly cleaning it, making minor repairs, and more, you can take it to a dealership to get a trade value and determine whether you want to negotiate, walk away, or accept the offer!

What do I need when I trade in my car?

While many drivers think you only need to bring the vehicle to a trade-in, they’d be wrong.

Q: What’s the newest tech in Buicks this year?

A: Bigger screens, voice control that actually works, over-the-air updates (no dealership trips for software fixes), and Super Cruise—hands-free driving on highways (in the Enclave for now).

Q: Does Buick have wireless charging now?

A: Yep! Plus noise-canceling to keep the cabin quiet and better safety stuff like automatic braking for pedestrians/bikes.

Q: Which model has the biggest screen?

A: The Electra E5 (when it drops) will have a huge 30-inch curved display. The Envision and Encore GX also got screen upgrades.

    Q: What’s new with the 2025 Envista?

A: A more efficient 1.2L Flex-Fuel engine, standard remote start, and a new Aquamarine Blue paint (RIP Copper Ice). Still seats five, with three trims to choose from.

Q: Is the Envista bigger this year?

A: Nope, same size—just tweaked inside and out for a sharper look.

Q: Did the Encore GX get any upgrades?

A: The base Preferred trim can now run on E85 (cheaper gas + better mileage), and all trims have remote start and an 11-inch touchscreen. Also, new blue paint (same as the Envista).

Q: Is the Encore GX hybrid or electric?

A: Not fully electric, but the E85 option makes it a flex-fuel hybrid. The Electra E5 is Buick’s first full EV.

Q: When can I buy the Buick Electra E5?

A: No confirmed date yet, but it’s coming to the U.S. soon. Sign up for updates at your dealer if you’re interested!

Q: How far can the Electra go on a charge?

A: Up to 385 miles—and it’s quick, with 340 hp from dual motors.

Q: Should I wait for the Electra or buy now?

A: If you want gas/hybrid, the Envista or Encore GX are ready now. If you’re set on electric, keep an eye out for the Electra E5 launch.

Q: What’s the best way to check out these models?

A: Test drive one! The tech and ride quality are way better in person. Swing by the dealership to compare trims and colors.
